SLCPD identify suspect in homicide earlier this month

SALT LAKE CITY — Over the weekend, detectives with the Salt Lake City Police Department identified a suspect in the Dec. 11 fatal shooting that occurred in the area of 900 South Edison Street.
Due to the ongoing investigation, authorities did not release the suspect’s name.
No criminal charges have been filed as of yet. However, detectives from the Salt Lake City Police Department are working with the District Attorney’s Office on the case. Additionally, the individual is cooperating with authorities.
The investigation into this case began on Dec. 11 at 1:30 a.m. Police were notified of shots being fired in the area 900 South Edison Street.
When police arrived on scene, they discovered 22-year-old Adalid Serrano-Robles. Life-saving measures had already begun on the victim when authorities arrived.
However, Serrano-Robles died on scene.
Salt Lake City police is unable to provide any additional updates or information at this time.
