SALT LAKE CITY — All historic sites of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are now open to the public.

In Utah, these include the Beehive House, Cove Fort, Brigham Young Winter Home and Office, the St. George Tabernacle, and Hamblin Home.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has historic sites in multiple other states including New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Ohio, Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming, and California.

There are also a number of historic temples, tabernacles, and meeting houses across the United States.

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the church says the sites were visited by people from all over the world.

According to the church website, the historic sites are maintained to “celebrate the Restoration of the gospel and the commitment of Latter-day Saints to establish God’s kingdom in our day.”

The sites closed in March 2020 due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. They began a phased re-opening in May 2021.

Church officials said that virtual tours of the sites will still be available.
