SPANISH FORK, Utah — Around 1 p.m. on April 27, a 70-year-old man from Spanish Fork was attacked by a cougar in Diamond Fork, up Spanish Fork Canyon.
The man suffered lacerations on his arm and head but is in fair condition, according to the Utah County Sheriff’s Office. He was treated at Spanish Fork Hospital.
Tomorrow, the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources will look for the cougar.
The sheriff’s office wants the public to avoid the Diamond Fork area, or exercise caution.
