WEST JORDAN, Utah — The Utah National Guard has located four lost hikers who were reported missing in Wasatch County on Wednesday.
The hikers were found Wednesday night near Strawberry River by the 1st and 2nd Battalions, 211th Aviation Regiments.
The Guard members located three boys — ages 7, 10, and 14 — and a 50-year-old adult. The hikers were hoisted from their location by the Department of Public Safety and the 211th crew flying a Black Hawk Medevac helicopter.
The Utah National Guard said it was helping DPS with the search and rescue because of night and rainstorm conditions.
The crew helped the group from the mountain and after doing a medical evaluation found them to be in good condition. The hikers were then reunited with family at the Wasatch County Search and Rescue center in Heber City.
