SALT LAKE CITY — The Unified Police Department announced Wednesday the arrest of a 25-year-old man, who is wanted for questioning in California in connection to several rape cases.
According to a news release from the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Ivan Romo has allegedly assaulted several victims in California, all of whom worked as prostitutes.
“We do not have any active cases here,” the release states. “But we are concerned there may be local victims who may not have reported a sexual assault because they work in prostitution.”
Unified Police is asking anyone who may have been a victim of Romo’s to come forward and contact the department at 385-468-9834.
