PROVIDENCE, Utah — The Cache County Sheriff’s Office says human remains that were found earlier this week by a construction company belong to an individual from the Pioneer era.
On Tuesday, Legrand Johnson Construction notified authorities of the discovery of human remains in Providence. Authorities with the assistance of the State of Utah’s Forensic Anthropologist came to the conclusion that the bones were human.
A day later, the state’s Forensic Anthropologist determined the age of the bones to be from the Pioneer era.
The Sheriff’s Office says the state will take the lead and will follow up with any related information to the case.
