TOOELE, Utah — A fire burned down a remote property, claiming the lives of four dogs and leaving a trailer and outbuilding in ruins. The fire started around 9:39 P.M. Friday. Crews fought the fire for approximately four hours.
Jon Smith, with the North Tooele Fire Department said that the rural property was difficult to get to. This posed a significant hurdle for emergency crews. Crews used a total of five specialized brush trucks from North Tooele County and Grantsville stations.
Two individuals who were inside the temporary residence managed to evacuate. However four dogs died in the incident.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and due to the property’s remote location.
The exact address couldn’t be provided as the structure was located in such a rural area.
