BOUNTIFUL, Utah — A Bountiful police officer has resigned from the department after being accused of driving under the influence in an unmarked police car.
Brandon Beecher, a detective with the Bountiful Police Department, was pulled over on Feb. 19 after allegedly entering a roundabout in Syracuse incorrectly.
The officer who pulled him over said he noticed Beecher had slurred speech and glossy, bloodshot eyes.
Beecher’s blood alcohol content reportedly came back more than twice the legal limit.
Beecher wasn’t booked and given a Class B Misdemeanor.
Beecher was in an unmarked Bountiful Police car and reportedly had a loaded AR-15 in the car. KSL.com reports he resigned earlier this week.
