SALT LAKE CITY — Marijuana misuse among teens is landing more young people in emergency rooms according to the Centers for Disease Control.

According to CNN, roughly 1 in 5 people over 12 years old has tried the substance. The report said an increased availability of highly concentrated THC products could be the culprit.

Gray Matters Utah says having conversations with your kids about marijuana misuse is vital to keeping them safe.

The organization aims to educate on the impacts of marijuana on young people.
