Crash near Benjamin kills 1 Sunday morning

UTAH COUNTY, Utah — One man is dead following a crash on SR-164 near Benjamin, Utah early Sunday morning.
According to a press release from the Utah Department of Public Safety, officers received information about the crash at 4:56 a.m. The crash involved one Dodge Durango and its driver, a 25-year-old man. It took place near 8000 S. 2200 W. in Benjamin.
According to the press release, the vehicle was heading westbound on 8000 S. when it veered to the right and off the road.
This was in an overpass structure, so the vehicle launched off a concrete wall, back on to the roadway and then across again.

It then drove up the wall and hit a round pillar. After this, the vehicle rolled down the wall. DPS said the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle while it was rolling.
At this time, authorities have not specified a cause of the crash or the identity of the driver.
