WEST VALLEY CITY – Truck drivers from Utah are bringing another convoy of emergency supplies to people affected by Hurricane Irma.

The supplies were donated by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  C.R England Trucking CEO Chad England says, “All kinds of basic needs are included in the load.  There is water, shovels, tools and all kinds of things.”

Three members of the England family are taking the supplies, and they expect it to take roughly two days to get to the areas in need.  England says, “We found out about this opportunity yesterday.  Last night, at about 11 p.m. we decided we were going to gear up and go.”

Officials from the LDS Church say one of the trucks will go to Naples, while England says other supplies will go to Fort Myers.  “Our hearts go out to all the people in Florida that have been struggling through these natural disasters, and the people of Houston, as well.  We wanted to do everything we can do to help,” England says.

We want to hear from you.
