Snowbasin will open for bonus weekend

HUNTSVILLE, Utah — Snowbasin Resort announced it would open for a bonus weekend after getting a foot of snow. The resort will be open from Friday, April 15 through Sunday, April 17.
“Well, as we’ve stated many times before, if we can give our guests more days to ski and ride, we absolutely will. Lucky for all of us, Mother Nature came through, allowing us to safely reopen for a bonus weekend,” said Davy Ratchford, general manager of Snowbasin.
Snowbasin will open 58 trails and operate Needles Gondola, Middle Bowl Express, and Littlecat Express.
Because the resort is opening post-operation, some services will be adjusted.
Adjustments include:
- Tickets — Snowbasin has an online-only deal for people who purchase tickets online before the end of Thursday. Window tickets will be available all weekend at the Grizzly Center.
- The Grizzly Center rental and retail shops will be open for normal operations between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Snowbasin’s Learning Center will open to offer additional bathrooms but lessons remain closed for the season.
- Parking — Earl’s Lot, Maples Lot, and the Canyon Rim Lot will open for guest parking. Wildcat lot will be closed.
- Complimentary guest shuttles will still be available.
- Food — Earl’s Lodge will be open for bathroom access only on Friday and Saturday, and available only brunch guests on Sunday. Needles Lodge will offer boxed lunches and canned beer from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. all weekend. The bathrooms at Needles will remain open to the public throughout the weekend.
Aside from the bonus weekend of skiing, Snowbasin will also host its annual Easter Brunch Buffet. The brunch will be held at Earl’s Lodge on Sunday. The resort requires a reservation to participate.
