SALT LAKE CITY —  This winter, Utah’s largest ski resort will undergo changes making it more expensive for patrons. With over four million annual visitors to Park City, the Mountain Village base will now require parking reservations in the winter.

For those who don’t participate in winter sport activities, the village base offers lodges complete with restaurants, shopping and coffee. Now, a visit will also come with an additional $25 cost for parking.

Payment is for Main, First Time and Silver King lots. Reservations need to be made for every day of the week. Free parking options come after 1 p.m. or if you have a car full of four or more passengers. Additionally, free parking will still be available at the Canyons Village base area, High Valley and on weekends at Park City High School.

Further, you can expect to be paying for any visits that fall between Dec. 12 and April 2. The resort is working with the city to encourage accessible transit to the resort including a traffic circulation plan in the Mountain Village base.
