SALT LAKE CITY — There’s good news for Utah’s skiers and snowboarders. The Utah Transit Authority announced the start date and routes for its Ski Bus service.
Service for Salt Lake County begins on Nov. 26 and runs through April 13, according to a press release from UTA.
UTA is teaming up with ski resorts to improve customer capacity for Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons. UTA will provide all-day bus service up both canyons and work with resorts to offer new employee-specific transportation. This includes expanded UTA Vanpool services and a resort-managed employee shuttle system.
According to UTA, their plan includes deploying backup buses when available to accommodate peak travel times.
For non-locals, UTA is working with Visit Salt Lake and Salt Lake County on the paid Cottonwood Connect ski shuttle. The private shuttle services visitors staying at local hotels.
