“Christine Grow inspires her Skyridge High School Child Development, and Early Childhood Education, students & efficiently runs the Skyridge Preschool with professionalism, compassion, and efficiency.
One example of her influence is her ECE student/preschool teacher, who we’ll call “A”. “A” began as a TA for Mrs. Grow but claimed she disliked little children. However only one semester under Christine’s tutelage & A rewrote her schedule to take ALL the Child Development + ECE classes, and is one of our kindest, most enthusiastic preschool teachers! The positive change in A’s very nature as she’s nurtured her newfound talents and skills learned from Mrs. Grows influence is a testament of the awesome things coming from Mrs. Grow’s impressive program. “A” has said herself that she feels differently now – a happier person, in whom even her friends have noticed more light and joy. This is simply one example of many students benefitting from the opportunity to have Christine Grow for their teacher. As an aide in the Skyridge Preschool (which is taught by Christine’s Early Childhood Education students), I have witnessed the careful thought, effort, and at times even her own personal finances, put forth in keeping this program and curriculum creative, memorable, and productive. Additionally, she advises Skyridge’s FCCLA organization and teaches Sewing Skills, Fashion, and Interior Design. She works humbly and prolifically, in her own little corner of the school, quietly impacting future educators in important ways. Her students leave inspired and empowered — prepared to take their skills beyond the classroom and out into the real world.”
