GLENDALE, Utah — A 41-year-old man was shot and killed in an apartment in Glendale late Monday night.
Police were called about an unresponsive man in an apartment close to midnight. When paramedics arrived they gave the victim lifesaving aid, but he died on the scene from a fatal gunshot wound.
SLC Police Department Public Information Officer Michael Russ said they are still trying to figure out what led to the shooting.
“Our homicide detectives are currently working the case, and working with the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine who this individual is, as well as notifying next of kin as well as the circumstances around what lead to his death,” Russ said.
There had been no arrests by late Tuesday afternoon. Police say there is no danger to the community at this time.
“There’s nothing that indicates there’s a threat to the community. This appears to be an isolated incident,” Russ said.
