Veterans Day 2022: how the Beehive state celebrates

SALT LAKE CITY — As Veterans Day 2022 rolls around, people across the state are celebrating and honoring past and present U.S. Military members.

Veterans Day 2022 at Utah’s schools
Many schools in the Canyons School District are celebrating Veterans Day, including Quail Hollow Elementary School in Sandy.

Ridgecrest Elementary School in Cottonwood Heights is also among the schools celebrating.

Further south, fifth graders at Washington Elementary School honor veterans by cleaning and placing flags on grave sites.

Cities across Utah
Clearfield City shows gratitude by publishing a collection of photos of veterans from the Clearfield area on the city’s Facebook page.
In addition to this, Clearfield City says a new Veteran Monument has been placed in the west lobby of the Clearfield City Hall.
In the nearby city of Roy, community members gathered to place flags at Kent’s Market in honor of veterans and military families.
