Man dies while hiking at Arches National Park

MOAB, Utah — A 69-year-old man died Thursday inside Arches National Park.

According to a news release, park rangers responded to a CPR in progress on the Primitive Loop section of the Devils Garden trail. 

First responders from Grand County and a LifeFlight helicopter responded to the scene. The release states, the man was pronounced dead after life-saving procedures failed.

The identity of the man was not released. The cause of the victim’s medical emergency was also not released.

No other information on the incident was provided.
