SALT LAKE CITY– Friday morning’s storm is starting to break up after making for a headache in spots during this morning’s commute.
There’s good news for this evening’s commute. According to KSL Meteorologist Matt Johnson, tonight’s drive home should be a lot easier.
“As we work through the day, it [the storm] will likely break up, seeing a lot of cloud coverage and some scattered snow showers,” said Johnson. He noted most of the accumulating snow would be in the morning hours.
What to expect
Forecasters are expecting an inch or two in the valleys and 8 to 16 inches in the mountains. The Cottonwoods could gain two feet.
Temperatures on Friday should top out around 36 degrees in Salt Lake City. The weekend looks to be dry with temperatures in the mid to high thirties.
