I-15 head-on crash kills one injures another

SALT LAKE CITY — One person is dead and another was injured following a head-on car crash on I-15 early Sunday.
The Department of Public Safety said in a news release that at approximately 4:15 a.m., a red Mazda sedan entered the wrong way on the 600 South off-ramp. Following this, it collided head-on with a black Chevrolet Suburban.
The collision killed the female driver of the Mazda and left the Chevrolet driver with minor injuries, according to DPS.
At this time, DPS believes the Mazda driver was not properly wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.
EB I-80 to SB I-15 ramp was shut down from 4:15 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., according to DPS.
