One person injured in series of I-215 crashes Thursday

SALT LAKE CITY — One person was seriously injured Thursday afternoon in a series of crashes on I-215 near 1000 North in Salt Lake City.
The Utah Highway Patrol said semi trucks were involved in crashes on both sides of the freeway.

Two other vehicles also crashed in the southbound lanes accordin to UHP. One of the people in those cars was taken to the hospital.
Traffic in both directions was held up for a couple of hours.
