OREM, Utah — A Florida-based consulting group held its first public meeting regarding six proposals, some of which would split Alpine School District.
MGT Consulting held the first of three meetings at Timpanogos High School on Tuesday night.
Alpine School District hired the out-of-state group in May 2023 to study options for the future of Utah’s largest school district.
The group eventually came up with six proposed solutions. Some would keep the district together. Others would split it into two or even three different school districts.
There will be two more public meetings this week. The next happens Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in the Vista Heights Middle School auditorium. The last is Thursday night at American Fork Junior High.
District leaders hope to gather as much feedback as possible before they have a recommendation on the table in April.
