SALT LAKE CITY — A child was hit by a car on Wednesday afternoon near 700 West and 200 North in Salt Lake City.

According to police, the accident happened next to Mary W. Jackson Elementary School.

Police said the child suffered from minor injuries but was not taken to a hospital.
