Man working in home garage killed when trailer fell from jack

PROVO, Utah — A man has died after an accident in a home garage in Provo.

Provo police said they responded to a 911 medical call on Jan. 6. Two men had been working on a trailer inside the home’s garage when a piece of equipment, a jack, failed.

One of the men was reportedly underneath the trailer when the jack failed.

Janna-Lee Holland with Provo police said the man was hospitalized at Utah Valley Hospital, and later died.

The accident is not being investigated as suspicious. The man’s name was not released.
