Toma Blair, Cherry Hill Elementary

“So many things make Toma incredible. Toma is a first grade dual immersion teacher at a lower income school. She had on average 60 first grade students she is in charge of every year. Every year she spends countless hours and resources preparing to make the first grade year amazing for every student. She not only genuinely cares for each and every one of her students, but she also gives the same loving attention to each of her coworkers. Her classroom is like a safe haven for all who need it. She is always there with a ready smile, listening ear and a hidden stash of candy.
Everyone who has ever had the opportunity to have Toma come into their lives has walked away a better person. She inspires, teaches and listens to students and adults alike. The children and their parents/guardians are so lucky to have her in their corner. She makes sure that everyone that leaves her classroom has the tools they need to succeed.”
