Fatal crash leaves one dead in West Jordan

WEST JORDAN, Utah — A man is dead after crashing into a tree early Sunday in West Jordan.
Sergeant Schaaf from the West Jordan Police Department told KSL News the incident happened around 1:50 AM Sunday. The victim was driving southbound on Grizzly Way when he lost control and hit a tree near 8100 South.
The victim killed is a 22-year-old male from West Valley City, police have not released a name yet.
The Accident Reconstruction team is investigating the incident and evaluating if speed was a possible factor as the roads in the area have several curves.
