Missing teen last seen in Hyrum Dam beach area found dead

HYRUM, Utah — The Cache County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Monday that the body of 14-year-old Conner Bowden had been found after going missing near the Hyram Dam. Police are investigating his death.
According to the sheriff’s office, Bowden was found by the Department of Public Safety’s dive team. Cache County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Mikelshan Bartschi told KSL TV that he was found 8 feet under the Hyrum Dam Beach Dock.
His body will now go to the medical examiner to determine his cause of death.
The sheriff’s office said Sunday it was “actively seeking information” on the whereabouts of Conner Bowden.
The missing Hyrum teen was seen in the area of the Hyrum Dam beach at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
Bowden is described as having blond hair and blue eyes. He is 5-foot-4 and 110 pounds.
The search included teams from the sheriff’s office, the dive team of the Department of Public Safety and the state park.
