OGDEN, Utah — A northern Utah traffic corridor through Ogden Canyon is closed after an accident sent several barriers into a river on Tuesday.

The Utah Highway Patrol reported the accident happened around 2 p.m. on SR 39 about four miles east of Ogden.

UHP spokesman Sgt. Cam Roden said a van was moving westbound when the driver lost control on the slick road.

The Weber County Sheriff’s Office said the vehicle hit several barriers, which ended up in the river. No injuries were reported.

Snowbasin Ski Resort said the closure could impact UTA Ski Bus times from Ogden.

UDOT said it could take up to three hours to replace the barriers.
