Rain along the Wasatch Front continues into the weekend

SALT LAKE CITY— Rain along the Wasatch Front has already dropped some impressive totals from a storm that started Thursday. There’s more to come before the storm tapers off.
KSL Meteorologist Matt Johnson said Utah and Tooele Counties had little rainfall. However, Salt Lake County all the way to the Cache Valley saw heavier rainfall.
Johnson said Perry in Box Elder County saw an inch of rain as of Friday morning, and the Wasatch Front had the potential to see another .25 to .5 inches of rain by the time the storm finishes this weekend.
Additionally, Johnson said some areas could add another inch or 1.25 inches.
According to Johnson, the Wasatch Front will see rain and potential thunderstorms through, predominately, the first half of Saturday. The storm taper off sometime late Saturday or early Sunday.
Expect temperatures to bounce back gradually after the storm. Highs are expected to be back in the upper-60s on Monday.
