Kaysville Fire Department, 4 other agencies respond to house fire

KAYSVILLE, Utah — A house fire Sunday in Kaysville required the assistance of five different agencies.

The Kaysville Fire Department responded to a well-involved residential structure fire in the 2100 South block of 175 East Sunday afternoon.
When emergency personnel arrived on scene, they were told that the back of the home was fully engulfed and that it had pushed into the attic.
Units from Layton City Fire Department and Farmington Fire Department were called in to assist.
Additional units from North Davis Fire District and Hill Air Force Base Fire and Emergency Services were called in at 6:45 p.m. According to a Facebook posting, the house was fully engulfed, and the roof had collapsed.
According to emergency personnel, the fire was brought under control at 7:30 p.m. A family of two adults and two children have been displaced. The Red Cross has been notified to help the family.
The Kaysville Fire Chief tells KSL that there were no injuries from the fire. Crews will remain on scene overnight to manage any hot spots.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
