Driver flown to hospital after crash in Tooele County

TOOELE COUNTY, Utah — Four people are recovering from injuries after police said a driver failed to stop at a stop sign Saturday evening.

Tooele County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Evans said a 23-year-old man was driving a Subaru when he failed to yield at a stop sign at Erda Way and Sheep Lane at around 6:40 p.m. The car crashed into a pickup truck carrying a trailer. He said the pickup and trailer ended up on its side after the crash. 

 

Evans said the driver of the Subaru was transported to the hospital by Airmed.

He said the 19-year-old female passenger of the Subaru, The 52-year-old driver of the truck, and the truck’s 25-year-old passenger were all taken in the ambulance to the hospital. The extent of the injuries for all four are unknown at this time. 

Northbound Sheep Lane was closed at Erda Way until 10 p.m. while police investigated the crash.
