MILLCREEK, Utah — A family is hoping for a miracle, to find a stolen truck with great sentimental value.

Curt Casper is asking for help to locate his son’s Nissan Frontier, which was taken from his home in Millcreek over the weekend. The truck belonged to his son’s grandfather, whom he was very close to. Casper said it’s regarded as a family heirloom of sorts.

Casper said the stolen truck is “beat up” and not worth much money, but that’s not what’s important.

“His grandpa used to drive him to school, and pick him up every day of his life. They spent a lot of time together in that truck,” Casper said.

The truck was given to his son right before his grandfather died. “He planned on keeping it forever, as a memoriam for his grandfather,” he said.

The family is asking that whoever has it,  to please leave it in a visible place so they can find it again. It’s a dark grey truck, with a hard cover on the back with plenty of dings and dents.

The family is also offering a $500 award to anyone who finds it.
