Temperatures to drop 25 degrees overnight in Northern Utah

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — A storm that will make its way into Utah Saturday evening is expected to drop high temperatures by about 25 degrees, bringing mountain snow and valley rain to Northern Utah.
The storm is inbound from the Pacific Northwest. Meteorologists expect the clouds to roll in around 6 p.m. Saturday evening. Ahead of that, winds should pick up. The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory in effect from noon Saturday through 3 a.m. Sunday.
Forecasters expect the storm to bring its precipitation, in the form of snow in the mountains and rain in the valleys, between 4 a.m. and 8 a.m. Sunday morning.
Sunday temperatures are reported to drop significantly from Saturday’s high of 83 to a high of 58 on Sunday, a 25-degree drop. From Saturday’s high to the Sunday morning low of 48, the difference should could swing 35 degrees.
The storm should blow through quickly, leaving the state by 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
