The class is POLI 360, titled “Miss Americana: Taylor Swift, Ethics, and Political Society.” The course teaches students advanced research skills, writing, political theory, and the philosophy of Swift herself.
BYU student Roxanna said she was surprised this class is being offered but said studying music is important.
“Philosophy through any music, I can understand because it delivers amazing messages,” she said.
The class is being taught by a professor with a doctorate in political philosophy. However, if you are a student hoping to take the class this semester, seats are already filled.
