SOUTH WEBER, Utah — A 40-year-old woman was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident Tuesday night in South Weber.
“It is a fatal auto-pedestrian crash. Preliminary information shows that an adult female was hit and killed and there is a secondary crash in the area,” said Sgt. Cameron Roden of the Utah Highway Patrol.
According to Roden, the woman was walking on the highway of southbound US-89 just south of South Weber Drive. The victim was first struck by a van and hit again by another vehicle.
It is unclear why the woman was out on the highway alone at night. The accident is under investigation.
